About this puja
Sri Sukta Homam is a fire ritual to Devi Lakshmi, performed for your household by a South Indian pandit. Offerings go into the sacred fire as the Sri Suktam, a Vedic hymn to Lakshmi, is chanted. Your family's custom and language decide which pandit performs it, and photos or video are shared on WhatsApp.
What is Sri Sukta Homam?
The Sri Suktam is a Vedic hymn to Devi Lakshmi. In a Sri Sukta Homam its verses are chanted while offerings are given into the sacred fire. Lotus, ghee and sweets are often among them. The homam is offered as a prayer for prosperity and for a home blessed with plenty. Here a South Indian pandit does the chanting and offerings for you, after a sankalp in your name and gotra.
Why devotees book it
- A prayer for prosperity, and for relief from money worries, offered in faith
- Blessing a new business or a new home with Lakshmi's grace
- Gratitude to Lakshmi for good fortune the family has received
- Asking Lakshmi for contentment and goodwill between family members
When to book
Fridays and full-moon days suit the Sri Sukta Homam, and so do Diwali and the Varalakshmi Vratam season. Families also hold it when opening a business or settling into a new home. When you have booked, a WhatsApp chat settles the day and the auspicious time.

Sri Sukta Homam — South Indian Tradition — questions answered
What is a Sri Sukta Homam in South Indian tradition?
It is a homam, or fire ritual, to Devi Lakshmi, in which the Sri Suktam is chanted. Lotus, ghee and sweets are often offered into the fire. A South Indian pandit performs it for you, beginning with a sankalp in your name and gotra.
Can I book the Sri Sukta Homam online without being present?
Yes. Being present is not required: the homam is performed on your behalf by a South Indian pandit. For the sankalp we ask for the gotra and up to four names, plus birth stars if you know them. We then confirm the date and auspicious time with you by WhatsApp message.
What are the benefits of a Sri Sukta Homam?
Devotees offer it as a prayer for prosperity, for relief from money worries and for harmony in the family. It is also a way to bless a new business or home, or to thank Lakshmi for good fortune. Lakshmi's blessings are prayed for in faith, and no financial or other result is promised.
When is the best time to book a Sri Sukta Homam?
Fridays and full-moon days are traditional, as are Diwali and the season of Varalakshmi Vratam. Opening a business or moving into a new home also calls for it. Pick your occasion; the muhurtham itself is chosen with you through WhatsApp.
What is included and how much does it cost?
The Sri Sukta Homam is included, carried out for you by a South Indian pandit who follows your family's tradition. Its sankalp covers you and up to three more people, with gotra and birth stars. WhatsApp is where you receive photos or video of it. Lakshmi Kumkumarchana, and Kubera Puja where our pandit performs it, can join the same booking at separate prices. The current price is ₹ 6,501.
Will I receive photos or a video?
Yes. The homam's photos or video are shared with you on WhatsApp within 3 to 4 days. For anything else about the homam, you can message us on WhatsApp.
Who performs the puja, and where?
A South Indian pandit, matched to your family's tradition and your language, performs the Sri Sukta Homam. Its setting is either the pandit's own altar or a partner shrine, and in that case we give you the shrine's name on WhatsApp. As for Divine Hindu, it is independent, with no affiliation to any temple administration.
