Which Rudraksha mala should you choose?

Rudraksha mala buying questions

Is 5 Mukhi the same as a 54- or 108-bead mala?

No. Mukhi describes the faces on an individual Rudraksha bead. The number 54 or 108 describes the bead count of the finished strand. A mala can therefore contain 108 beads that are each 5 Mukhi.

How should I compare size and fit?

Bead diameter in millimetres describes each bead, not the necklace length. Check the selected size, total length, pendant dimensions and construction on the exact listing. If the measurement you need is missing or unclear, ask our team for that design's measurement before ordering.

Are all capped Rudraksha malas made with silver?

No. Silver-coloured finish, silver plating and 925 sterling silver are different descriptions. Read the cap, wire and pendant materials separately; a bead certificate does not establish metal purity.

Can I buy one Rudraksha bead instead?

Yes. Visit single Rudraksha beads by mukhi to compare one bead with a ready-to-wear necklace. The product page states its origin and whether a cap, thread or chain is included.
